ODESSA, Texas — An Odessa man is in jail following a crash that took place Thursday evening.

According to police, Rogelio Lujan, 38, was driving westbound in the 100 block of East Yukon when he failed to control his speed.

Lujan crashed into a motorcycle and a van, which in turn crashed into a SUV in front of them. All three vehicles were stopped facing westbound on Yukon near Andrews Highway.

The driver of the van was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, while the driver of the motorcycle was taken in with serious bodily injury. He is currently in critical condition.

None of the other drivers were injured.

Odessa Police determined Lujan was intoxicated at the time of the crash. He was arrested and charged with one count of intoxication assault.

(Editor's note: This story previously listed Lujan as being the one taken to the hospital with seriously bodily injury. This story has been edited to show that it was actually the motorcycle driver after police corrected their press release.)
