Gatesville man killed after driving into wrong lane, colliding with 18-wheeler

The Gatesville man was driving on a service road off I-20 when he failed to stay in the correct lane.

CRANE COUNTY, Texas — A Gatesville man is dead following a two-vehicle accident nine miles east of Monahans.

Addantrae Romar, 26, was traveling east on an I-20 service road just after 7 a.m. on February 24. He was driving a Nissan Altima.

DPS reports Romar failed to stay in his lane and crossed into the westbound lane, colliding with an 18-wheeler.

Romar was pronounced dead at the scene. DPS says he was not wearing a seat belt.

The driver of the 18-wheeler was not injured.
