GAINES COUNTY, Texas — A Seagraves woman is dead following a crash in Gaines County.
According to DPS, the crash took place just after 5:30 a.m. on Oct. 9.
Patricia Wingo, 79, was traveling southbound on US 62 in an SUV.
At the same time, Brian Armendariz, 21, of Loop, Texas was traveling northbound on US 62 in a pickup truck.
Armendariz's truck left its lane and entered the opposite lane, striking Wingo.
Neither Wingo nor Armendariz were wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Wingo was taken to Brownfield Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
Armendariz was not injured. He was arrested for intoxication manslaughter nd booked into the Gaines County Jail.
No further information is available and DPS is still investigating the crash.
