WARD COUNTY, Texas — One man is dead and another injured following a head-on collision in Ward County.
The crash happened just before 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 29.
Allen Salas, 30, was driving a truck eastbound on RM 2355 outside of Pyote when it began a side skid.
The truck crossed into the westbound lane, striking a truck tractor head on.
Salas was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck tractor driver was taken to Ward Memorial Hospital where is reportedly stable.
No further information is available and DPS is still investigating.
