Easter Bunny makes stop in Monahans for annual event

The 8:28 family of companies partnered with several community organizations and businesses for an Easter egg hunt.

MONAHANS, Texas —

The City of Monahans got an early visit from the Easter Bunny Thursday.

The 8:28 family of companies held their annual community and family Easter egg hunt.

The event aims to connect citizens using more than 15,000 Easter eggs, along with food, drinks and bounce houses.

“Every year it grows and that is truly from God himself,” said 8:28 Marketing Director Jenna Heflin. “We have more volunteers, over 15,000 eggs, prizes, some of the eggs have cash in them. There are prize tables. If you collect a golden egg, you get a gift basket. So maybe there are people who come out and participate that they don't know how they're going to provide that to their families, but they get to come out here to this.”

The company has seen growth each year for the annual festivity.
