MIDLAND - Graffiti marked a local veteran's home and it's all because he has his U.S. Flag hanging upside down at his home.

The vandalism happened in the early hours of Sunday at Thomas Flournoy's home in Midland.

The vandals wrote the words, "fix it" along with an explicit word, in red, white and blue.

Flournoy has been flying his flag upside down for the past three years.

An upside down flag shows a signal of distress and Flournoy believes officials in office aren't doing a very good job.

"I took an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. But these people in Washington, they ignore their office," Flournoy said.
