ODESSA, Texas — The Special Olympics Texas Fall Classic will be coming to the Permian Basin in 2024.
According to the City of Odessa Facebook page, the Odessa City Council voted during their meeting on Oct. 10 to unanimously approve a memorandum of understanding to host the upcoming event. Midland City leaders are also currently looking into an agreement on the Fall Classic according to the City of Odessa.
There is typically an average of 2,000 participants at an event like this. The next fall classic is from Oct. 3-5.
