ODESSA, Texas — The city of Odessa has taken steps to enhance waste collection services by introducing new trash trucks.

The solid waste department and equipment services have prioritized maintaining functional trucks for street collection.

Due to breakdowns and repairs, the current fleet operates with fifteen trucks, down from the usual twenty-seven to twenty-eight.

In March, the city received two new trucks, with additional replacements planned. The standard replacement cycle has been adjusted to every five years, improving efficiency.
