ODESSA, Texas — A crash in Odessa leaves one person dead, according to the City of Odessa and Texas DPS.
According to a preliminary crash report from Texas DPS, 64-year-old Delfino C Acosta-Contreras was driving westbound on Hammett Drive.
An international truck with towed trailer was driving northbound on East Loop 338.
According to the report, Acosta-Contreras disregarded the stop sign at the intersection of East Loop 338 and Hammett Dr., colliding with the trailer of the international truck.
Acosta-Contreras then crossed over to the southbound lanes, where it was hit by a Freightliner truck with trailer.
Acosta-Contreras was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation, and no further information was released at this time.
