An 8-year-old boy is back at school after his mother says he was stabbed in the back of a head with a pencil on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident happened at Burnet Elementary School after school let out.
Amber Trevino tells NewsWest9, her son was punched in the stomach by a student before having a pencil shoved into his head.
The Ector County Independent School District tells NewsWest9, an incident did happen between students but could not elaborate.
They did say that a parent witnessed what happened before immediately taking the boy to the nurse.
The nurse then called the boy's parents.
