Job Jasso Jr. allegedly had nine stolen guns on him when arrested on March 25, court documents show

MIDLAND, Texas — A suspect who led multiple law enforcement agencies on a chase in the Midland-Odessa area on March 13 is now in federal custody, according to court documents.

Job Jasso Jr. was indicted on March 28 for felon in possession of a firearm, one of 13 charges he was arrested for on March 25.

According to indictment paperwork, on March 25, members of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force located Jasso Jr. at a hotel in Odessa. Deputies with the Midland County Sheriff's Office obtained a search warrant to enter the hotel room Jasso Jr. was staying at.

After deputies executed the warrant, they collected 11 firearms. They also recovered ammunition, paper documents and approximately 63.2 grams of fentanyl.

According to court documents, law enforcement confirmed that nine of the eleven firearms were reported stolen.

As of March 28, Jasso Jr. is in custody of the U.S. Marshals and is awaiting trial.

NewsWest 9 also learned that Jasso Jr. was arrested for burglary of habitation on March 29, his 14th charge since March 25.

These are the 13 other charges Jasso Jr. was arrested for (excluding the firearm charge he has been indicted for):

  • continuous violence against family
  • criminal mischief
  • two charges of possessing marijuana 
  • possession of a controlled substance 
  • two charges of evading arrest 
  • burglary of habitation 
  • unauthorized use vehicle
  • four charges of manufacturing/delivering a controlled substance
