ODESSA, Texas — Sheriff Mike Griffis has provided an update to the Dollar General shooting from Friday night, including a man dying from his injuries, as well as a teenager's body being found.
At about 6 p.m. Friday, ECSO received a call in reference to a gunshot victim, later identified as 18-year-old Kevin Roman, at the Dollar General located at 3rd and Knox.
Roman was transported to MCH, where he would later die from his injuries.
Investigators arrested 18-year-old Victor Manuel Balderama in relation to the homicide.
According to an arrest report, Balderama was arrested for tampering/fabricating with human corpse with intent to impair and tampering/fabricating with physical evidence with intent to impair, totaling a $75,000 bond.
On Saturday afternoon, 20-year-old Ethan Gabriel Ibarra contacted ECSO. He ultimately led investigators to a location near Penwell, Texas where the body of 17-year-old Dillan Zubia was found.
Ibarra was booked into Ector County Jail for charges related to the homicide.
According to the arrest report, Ibarra was arrested for the same charges as Balderama, plus first-degree murder, totaling a $175,000 bond.
