MIDLAND, Texas — Midland ISD introduced some new faces on Tuesday.
The new administrators include a new Executive Director of Leadership, as well as new principals for Midland Freshman High School, Legacy Freshman High School and General Franks Elementary School.
The incoming principal of Legacy Freshman says her focus will be on preparing students for graduation and beyond.
"We're going to start focusing on increasing the number students who leave Legacy Freshman on track to graduate," incoming Principal Misty Ring said. "So more students will go to Legacy High School with all the credits they need to be considered sophomores. So we're going to meet students where they are and ensure that every student is making progress along his or her academic journey."
Some of the educators will have to go through more meetings on their campus and train for a couple more weeks before they take on their new roles.
