MIDLAND, Texas — IDEA Travis posted on Facebook that the school and the family of 10-year-old Alex Wise Jr. are holding a "balloon release" in memory of Wise Jr.

Wise Jr., who was trying to cross the street in the 1900 block of South Lamesa Rd. after school, was struck by a driver on Thursday.
