Prior to joining NewsWest 9, Lilybeth was a Producer-in-Residence for KCEN-TV in Waco/Temple, TX. During her time in the Central Texas region, she produced the 6 p.m show for a short time before moving on to producing the 5 a.m and 6 a.m. shows on Texas Today.

After months of gaining experience as a producer, she discovered her love for meeting the people behind the stories being told. She went on to report on weekends at KCEN for nearly two months, even earning a one-on-one interview with Tejano music legend Little Joe.

Lilybeth is a graduate of the Metropolitan State University of Denver, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Marketing. During her time at the university, she worked as the Executive Producer of the school’s journalism program known as MET TV.

Despite being born and raised in Colorado, Lilybeth considers herself a Texan at heart. She’s excited to meet the people of West Texas and share unforgettable memories with them. Her biggest dream is to help amplify the voices of the people in the Permian Basin community.
