Tornado Watch issued by the National Weather Service

A Tornado Watch has been issued for much of West Texas. Stick with StormTracker 9 for the latest.

The National Weather Service in Midland has issued a Tornado Watch until 11 p.m. this evening.

A "Watch" means conditions are favorable for tornadoes to develop. Not everybody will see storms, but those that do could see a storm capable of producing a tornado.

Counties included in the Watch: Andrews, Borden, Crane, Dawson, Ector, Gaines, Glasscock, Howard, Martin, Midland, Mitchell, Pecos, Reagan, Scurry, Terrell, Upton, Ward, and Winkler.
