21-year-old Omar Nunez

Odessa Police arrested Nunez on 11-21-14 at approximately 2054 hours for Manufacture and Delivery of Cocaine "1st Degree Felony", Possession of Marijuana "Class B Misdemeanor", and for three misdemeanor warrants. Officers observed a blue Chevrolet Silverado run a red light at 17th and Grant. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Nunez.

While making contact with Nunez, officers could smell marijuana coming from the listed vehicle. When officers asked Nunez if he had anything illegal on him, he replied "yes I have some weed in my pocket". Officers searched Nunez and located a bag of marijuana inside his front right pocket.

Officers later discovered a bag containing 11 individual packages of cocaine presumed ready for delivery. Approximately 4.87 grams of cocaine was seized as evidence. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Nunez was charged and arrested accordingly.

27-year-old Christopher Joseph Ybarra

Odessa Police arrested Ybarra on 11-21-14 at approximately 2021 hours for Intoxication Assault, a Third Degree Felony. Officers responded to the 2600 block of North Grandview in reference to a crash. Upon arrival, investigation revealed that a white 1997 Lexus had struck the back of a red Jeep. The driver of the Lexus was identified as Ybarra.

While officers made contact with Ybarra, they observed him to have red glassy eyes, slurred speech, and was unable to answer simple identifying questions. Ybarra was placed into custody for driving while intoxicated after failing field sobriety tests. A passenger of the Lexus, identified as a 25-year-old Hispanic male, was transported to Medical Center Hospital with serious bodily injury.

Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Ybarra was charged and arrested accordingly. Ybarra sustained no injuries as a result of the crash and was transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center. The driver of the red jeep did not require any medical attention.

18-year-old Andrew Roman and 18-year-old Jovantai Green

Odessa Police arrested Green for Tampering with Physical Evidence "3rd Degree Felony", Possession of Cocaine "State Jail Felony", Resisting Arrest, Search, or Transport "Class A Misdemeanor", and Possession of Marijuana "Class B Misdemeanor". Odessa Police also arrested Roman for Tampering with Physical Evidence "3rd Degree Felony" and Possession of Marijuana "Class B Misdemeanor".

Officers observed a blue 2013 Hyundai Sonata run a stop sign at Parker and Crescent. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Roman and the passenger as Green. While approaching the listed vehicle, officers could smell marijuana coming from the listed vehicle. Green exited the vehicle and immediately began walking away. When officers advised Green to stay with the vehicle, he continued to walk away.

When officers attempted to detain Green, he pulled away from them. While Green and the officer went down to the ground, he attempted to throw a clear plastic bag out of sight. After officers handcuffed Green, they searched him and discovered 2 bags of marijuana, a black digital scale, smoked marijuana blunts, and cocaine. Green was charged and arrested accordingly.

While officers were attempting to detain Green, they observed Roman throw an item to the left of him. Officers located the two items, which were on the driveway to the left of where Roman had been sitting. The items were found to be two bags of marijuana. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Roman was charged and arrested accordingly.

20-year-old Jenique Johnson

Odessa Police arrested Johnson for Prohibited Substance in a Correctional Facility "3rd Degree Felony", Possession of a Controlled Substance "Class A Misdemeanor", Driving While Intoxicated "Class B Misdemeanor", and Possession of Marijuana "Class B Misdemeanor". Officers conducted a traffic stop on a black Dodge Charger at Grandview and Murphy and the driver was identified as Johnson.

Johnson was incoherent while making contact with officers and admitted that she had been smoking marijuana. Johnson was placed into custody for driving while intoxicated after failing field sobriety tests. Officers searched the listed vehicle and discovered marijuana. Johnson was charged and arrested accordingly and transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.

While at the jail, Johnson was found to be in possession of a bag containing approximately 40 Xanax pills. Johnson did not have a prescription for the Xanax. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Johnson was additionally charged with prohibited substance in a correctional facility.

22-year-old John Roghair

Odessa Police arrested Roghair on 11-21-14 at approximately 1352 hours for Criminal Mischief, a State Jail Felony. While eating lunch at Rosas, officers were approached by several citizens concerning a male subject with red hair going car to car asking for money. One of the citizens pointed at the solicitor, who was later identified as Roghair. Dispatch advised Roghair had a felony criminal mischief warrant out for his arrest. Roghair was charged and arrested accordingly.

30-year-old Jonathan Nicolas Goppert

Odessa Police arrested Goppert for Debit / Credit Card Abuse "State Jail Felony" and Driving While Intoxicated "Class B Misdemeanor". Officers responded to 3351 Faudree in reference to a drunk driver. Upon arrival, officers observed a white 2013 Ford F-250 swerving and running other vehicles off the road. A traffic stop was conducted on the listed vehicle and the driver was identified as Goppert.

While making contact with Goppert, officers could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath. Goppert was placed into custody for driving while intoxicated after failing field sobriety tests. Further investigation revealed Goppert had a felony warrant for debit / credit card abuse. Goppert was charged and arrested accordingly.

52-year-old John Holmes

Odessa Police arrested Holmes on 11-22-14 at approximately 0844 hours for Possession of Cocaine "State Jail Felony", Driving While License Invalid with Prior Convictions "Class B Misdemeanor", and No Proof of Insurance "Class B Misdemeanor". Officers conducted a traffic stop on a brown truck in the 700 block of East 2nd Street and the driver was identified as Holmes.

Officers observed a white powdery substance on his shirt which appeared to be cocaine. Officers searched the listed vehicle and discovered a crack rock and a metal smoking pipe used to smoke cocaine. Holmes did not have a valid license or proof of insurance. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Holmes was charged and arrested accordingly.

27-year-old Chadwick Harris and 32-year-old Ashley Williams

Odessa Police arrested Harris on 11-23-14 at approximately 0842 hours for Possession of Cocaine, a State Jail Felony. Odessa Police also arrested Williams for Possession of Cocaine "State Jail Felony" and Fraudulent Obtaining Controlled Substance "3rd Degree Felony". Officers conducted a traffic stop on a white 2007 Ford F-150 at Murphy and Grant.

The driver was identified as Harris and the front passenger as Williams. Officers searched the listed vehicle and discovered a crack rock underneath the driver's seat and another crack rock underneath the front passenger seat. Officers also discovered a metal smoking pipe, a glass smoking pipe, and a plastic smoking pipe.
