35-Year-Old Angelita Garcia

Odessa Police arrested Garcia on 9-22-14 at approximately 2139 hours for Possession of Cocaine "State Jail Felony" along with four outstanding misdemeanor warrants. Officers observed a black 2014 Ford Focus traveling westbound in the 500 block of West 2nd Street with the headlights off. A traffic stop was conducted and the passenger was identified as Garcia.

A warrant check revealed Garcia had four outstanding warrants out for her arrest. While searching Garcia, a female officer discovered a bag of cocaine inside her bra. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Garcia was charged and arrested accordingly.

54-Year-Old Arcadio Alvarez Ortiz III

Odessa Police arrested Ortiz on 9-22-14 at approximately 1921 hours for Theft "State Jail Felony" and Theft "Class B Misdemeanor". Officers responded to 2450 NW Loop 338 (Wal-Mart West) in reference to a shoplifter. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Wal-Mart personnel, who advised a male subject stole a pair of boots and exited the store without making any attempt to pay for them.

The male suspect was identified as Ortiz. The boots, valued at just under $50, were returned to Wal-Mart. Ortiz was cited for Theft, a Class C Misdemeanor, for stealing the boots. Dispatch advised Ortiz had two theft warrants out of Taylor County, one of which was a felony warrant. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Ortiz was charged and arrested accordingly.

30-Year-Old Alexander Marr Guzman

Odessa Police arrested Guzman on 9-23-14 at approximately 0100 hours for two counts of Theft "State Jail Felony" along with ten outstanding misdemeanor warrants. Officers observed a suspicious maroon 2001 Chevrolet Silverado parked behind Osaka Restaurant at 4023 North JBS Parkway. The driver was identified as Guzman. Dispatch advised Guzman had twelve outstanding warrants out for his arrest, including two felony theft warrants. Guzman was charged and arrested accordingly.

40-Year-Old Willie Lee Brown, Jr.

Odessa Police arrested Brown on 9-24-14 at approximately 0242 hours for Possession of Cocaine, a State Jail Felony. Officers observed a male subject riding a bicycle northbound in the 100 block of South Muskingum without a front light. A pedestrian stop was conducted at 2nd and Muskingum and the subject was identified as Brown.

Officers asked Brown for consent to search him and he voluntarily gave verbal consent. Prior to searching Brown, officers observed two white rocks fall out of his hands onto the ground. The white rocks tested positive for cocaine. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Brown was charged and arrested accordingly.

25-Year-Old Angel Daniel Dominguez

Odessa Police arrested Dominguez on 9-24-14 at approximately 0052 hours for Possession of Cocaine "State Jail Felony" and two misdemeanor traffic warrants. While patrolling the area of the 4000 block of East 42nd Street, officers observed an occupied black 1996 Chevrolet Camaro in the back of a parking lot next to a business.

Officers made contact with a subject sitting in the driver's seat, identified as Dominguez. Dispatch advised Dominguez had two misdemeanor warrants out for his arrest. Officers searched the listed vehicle and discovered cocaine inside the center console. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Dominguez was charged and arrested accordingly.

25-Year-Old Benjamin Alan Clegg

Odessa Police arrested Clegg on 9-24-14 at approximately 0121 hours for Debit Card/Credit Card Abuse "State Jail Felony", Driving While Intoxicated "Class B Misdemeanor", and Driving While License Invalid with No Insurance "Class B Misdemeanor". Officers responded to the 200 block of South County Road West in reference to a major crash.

Investigation revealed a black 1998 Nissan Maxima, being driven by Clegg, was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of the 200 block of South County Road West. The Maxima failed to control speed and the right distributor of the Maxima struck the center median and west curb line.
