ODESSA, Texas — UTPB is hosting their annual Scholarship Ball on Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Odessa Marriott Hotel & Conference Center.
The ball is hosted every year to raise money for their General Scholarship Fund, supporting all students at UTPB. More than 90% of enrolled students are eligible for scholarship funds and all proceeds from the Ball will support this initiative.
Each year UTPB honors the recipients of the Distinguished Alumni Award (given to Odessa College President Dr. Gregory Williams), Distinguished Young Alumni Award (given to Daniel Bright), Community Partners Award (given to Permian Strategic Partnership) and Lissa Wagner Excellence Award (given to founding father of UTPB Mr. Ace Pickens).
