Victim in fatal car-pedestrian crash in Odessa Wednesday revealed

50-year-old Bracia Paige was attempting to cross the roadway before being struck by a Silverado. Paige was pronounced deceased at the crash sight.

ODESSA, Texas — Update (6:21 p.m.):

The City of Odessa has identified the victim in the fatal car-pedestrian crash that occurred on 8th St. and Moody Ave. in Odessa Wednesday night.

According to a media release, 50-year-old Bracia Paige was attempting to cross the roadway before being hit by  a Chevrolet Silverado.

The City of Odessa said Paige was not at a crosswalk at the time of the crash.

Around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, an officer told a member of NewsWest 9 on scene of the crash at 8th St. and Moody Ave. that the crash was fatal.

The pedestrian in the crash, Paige, was pronounced deceased and next of kin has been notified.

The investigation is on-going.
