Three people transported to hospital after rollover crash in Odessa

The driver of a Jeep Renegade failed to yield the right of way and was struck by a Dodge Durango. The Jeep rolled over as a result of the impact.

ODESSA, Texas — Three people were transported to a hospital in Odessa on Monday after a rollover crash occurred at West 22nd St. and Golder Ave., according to a media release from the Odessa Police Department.

OPD and Odessa Fire Rescue responded to the crash at approximately 4:03 p.m.

According to OPD's investigation into the crash, a maroon Dodge Durango was traveling south on Golder while a white Jeep Renegade was going north on Golder attempting to turn west onto 22nd St.

The driver of the Jeep Renegade failed to yield the right of way and was struck by the Dodge Durango. The Jeep rolled over as a result of the impact.

Both occupants of the Dodge and the driver of the Jeep were transported to a hospital in a Odessa with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Jeep was cited for fail to yield the right of way - left turn.
