MIDLAND, Texas — On Thursday afternoon, a juvenile was arrested for a shooting related to a robbery that happened at the Compass Pointe Apartments, according to a media release from the City of Midland.
At 4:55 p.m. on Thursday, the Midland Police Department was called to the Compass Pointe Apartments in reference to a victim being shot.
When officers arrived, they found a person who sustained a gunshot wound.
After MPD conducted an investigation, it revealed that "a juvenile" arrived at the apartment complex with intentions of robbing a juvenile male. During a physical altercation between two juveniles, a gun was fired and a bullet hit another person in the pelvic area.
The gunshot victim was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital.
The suspect who fired the gun was arrested for aggravated robbery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
