ODESSA, Texas — On Thursday, May 9, at 10 a.m., the Odessa Police Department and Midland Police Department will hold a memorial service at Sunset Funeral Home to honor all fallen officers across Texas, including officers in Odessa, Midland and Lubbock.
The week of May 12 has been designated as National Police Memorial Week to honor U.S. law enforcement officers who have been killed in the line of duty. As a tribute, the public are encouraged to replace their porch lights with blue bulbs from Sunday, May 12 through Saturday, May 18, symbolizing support and remembrance for these officers.
The public is invited to attend the event.
