Phase two begins for the construction of Cyclone Ballparks

The Cyclone Ballparks are set to officially open in the fall of 2024.

PECOS, Texas — The second phase of work is underway for the Cyclone Ballparks in Pecos, the newest destination for baseball and softball events from around West Texas.

The final project includes a total of 11 baseball fields and two food and drink buildings that come with a viewing deck and a rentable event space.

"The facility is being taken care of through hot funds, so it is not costing our taxpayers a dime," Pecos City Manager Charles Lino said. "We should always be encouraging so we thank people for staying at our hotels because you made this happen and made this a possibility without burden on taxpayers. We have tons of shade, which has been one of the complaints we had in the past, so we are listening to the public on this facility on what they envisioned."
