Permian Basin Board of Realtors held their 2nd Annual Golf Tournament to benefit a charity in Midland

A portion of proceeds are benefiting The Field's Edge and they have set a goal to raise $30,000.

MIDLAND, Texas — The Permian Basin Board of Realtors is swinging into the season of giving back by holding their 2nd Annual Golf Tournament to benefit a charity in Midland.

A portion of proceeds are benefiting The Field's Edge and they have set a goal to raise $30,000.

The Field's Edge is a community of tiny homes that benefit the homeless where they learn to be more sustainable and contribute to society.

The PBBOR said the idea came up where they would raise money to help the community.

"The golf tournament itself is an annual event. We'd love to keep it going. We love to give to our community in any way we can. We love to serve our community. We love giving back financially if we can get out and work, we can be out and serve our community. It's a special opportunity for us," said Kelsie Rasure, Permian Basin Board of Realtors President.

$30,000 is the amount of money that would help build and furnish a tiny home at The Field's Edge. So, they hope to come close to that goal so they can build a home in their name.
