City of Odessa hosting sports logo contest that includes a surprise for the winner

ODESSA, Texas — The City of Odessa will be hosting a sports complex logo contest with an exciting prize of $1,500 to use at either Odessa College or the University of Texas of the Permian Basin.

The City of Odessa and Odessa Arts are partnering with the Amy Bell Sports Foundation to select a logo for the new sports complex.

This contest is open to all students in Ector County from grades K through college level.

All applicants are welcome to create and submit a logo that will brand the sports complex as the premier destination for sports activities in West Texas.

The logo should have clean lines and impactful iconography like Nike or Coca-Cola. The design can include color or can stay black and white. Let your imagination run wild.

The contest will run from April 1 to May 15, 2024.

The representatives from the City of Odessa, Odess Arts and the Amy Bell Sports Foundation will select five finalists.

The five finalists will have the opportunity to reveal their logos on social media the week of June 1 and the public will be able to vote for their favorite.

The winning design will be announced in June.
