Odessa Fire Rescue responds to early morning semi-truck fire

The firefighting efforts required approximately 2500 gallons of water to successfully extinguish the fire.

ODESSA, Texas — In the early hours of Monday morning, at around 12:30 a.m., Odessa Fire Rescue responded to an emergency call at the 900 block of Maurice Rd., according to a City of Odessa Facebook post

The incident involved an 18-wheel semi-truck that had caught fire. 

Upon arrival, the responding crews encountered the semi-truck engulfed in flames and with a partially affected oilfield trailer.

The firefighting efforts required approximately 2500 gallons of water to successfully extinguish the fire and responders were able to prevent any other vehicles from catching fire.
