MIDLAND, Texas — Midland police were on the scene of a barricaded subject in a vehicle Friday morning.
Officers initially responded to the area of Big Spring Street and Florida in reference to a stalking call at 3:40 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle described by dispatch and a pursuit ensued, ending west of Big Spring in the north service road of Loop 250.
The MPD tactical team was called out to the scene and after a few hours of negotiations the suspect surrendered, around 9:30 a.m.
Eddie Villa, 44, was arrested on federal gun and drug charges, as well as state charges of stalking and evading.
No one was injured during the stand-off. Police are still investigating.
