WINKLER COUNTY, Texas — A fatal rollover crash happened Thursday morning on SH 302 at Mile Marker 232 in Winkler County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
According to a DPS preliminary report, 42-year-old Gaylon Love, driving a Ram Pickup, was going eastbound in the left lane of SH 302, while 37-year-old Emmanuel Diaz-Ortega, driving a Freightliner truck with trailer, was going westbound on SH 302.
According to DPS, Love veered onto the wrong side of the roadway, not passing, and crashed into Diaz-Ortega. The impact caused Love's car to rollover, ejecting him from his seat.
Love died at the scene of the crash. Diaz-Ortega was not injured.
Texas DPS is still investigating the crash and no further information is available at the moment.
