ODESSA, Texas — TxDOT Odessa is developing a new technology initiative called "The Basin 20" that will assist travelers with the current and upcoming construction along IH-20.
One of the objectives of the Basin 20 is to keep travelers as informed as possible on how long their commutes will take due to the construction area.
In addition to the technology initiative, message boards are in place along the east and westbound main lanes, showing the predicted travel times to the next exit.
Construction along IH-20 is estimated to increase with time due to the Odessa Discticts needing more roadway access.
