Fort Stockton Community Theater hosts Christmas celebration for elementary students

All 150 second graders at Alamo Elementary were treated with hot chocolate, treats and a Christmas movie, just in time for the holiday season.

FORT STOCKTON, Texas — The Fort Stockton Community Theater hosted a field trip for Alamo Elementary’s school children to get them into the holiday spirit just before they left for Christmas vacation.

The entire second grade class at Alamo Elementary, all 150 of them, were first treated to hot chocolate and treats in the theater’s banquet room.

Then they lined for a visit with Santa who brought along his favorite elf, Miss Tracy.

Each child got to sit on Santa’s lap and tell him their Christmas wish list while they had their picture taken.

The photos were instantly printed so no one had to wait.

In addition to the photo, every child was also given a goodie bag filled with treats.

After that the kids filed into the theater where they were treated to a classic Christmas cartoon on the theater’s digital projection system.

It was the perfect way to enjoy some holiday fun just two days before getting out of school, thanks to the generous donation of the Fort Stockton Community Theater board of directors, along with Laura Jean and Olga Gonzalez, Kia Tay Accents and Cash Express
