Deals you can take advantage of this Veteran's Day

These businesses are doing their part to honor local veterans.

TEXAS, USA — There are several businesses doing their part to honor veterans this Veteran's Day on Nov. 11 across West Texas.

Here's a list of some local places veterans can go to this year:

  • Bubba's 33
    • All locations in Midland (3315 W. Loop 250 North) and Odessa (6153 E. Highway 191) are offering free lunch or raincheck vouchers.
    • Veterans will be able to get a free meal on Nov. 11 from 11a.m. to 4 p.m.
      • You can choose between a Classic Cheeseburger, Bubba’s Bacon Burger, Bacon Chicken Mac-n-Cheese, Grilled Chicken Salad, Chicken Tender Salad or any 12-inch pizza plus a drink.
    • For those who aren't able to attend this year's event, they can receive a raincheck voucher good through May 30, 2024.
  • Golden Corral Odessa
    • Golden Corral Odessa is hosting their Military Appreciation Night on Monday, Nov. 13 from 5 p.m. to close.
    • "Military Appreciation Night started in 2001 and takes place one night a year at all Golden Corral restaurants. This special night offers a free “thank you” meal to all active-duty military personnel, retirees, National Guard, reserves and veterans of all branches. Military Appreciation Night is more than just a free meal to U.S. military members, it provides the chance for our nation’s heroes to come together to connect, share in comradery and stories, and be recognized for their service, all while enjoying a delicious meal.   • Urban Air
    • Spirit Night at Urban Air: Honoring Permian Basin Honor Flight
    • "The focus of this initiative is to extend support to veterans who have given so much for our country. While they may not be riding on the SkyRider, they can bring their grandkids to be a part of this noble cause and support the next flight in 2024.
    • A special place known as Party Room 7 has been dedicated to this purpose. It's a place where people can come, shake a hero's hand, and simply take the time to honor and listen to these incredible individuals. The essence of this initiative is to ensure that these heroes receive the respect and recognition they rightfully deserve."
    • The event will take place Nov. 9 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

According to Military.com:

  • Applebee's 
    • On November 11, active-duty military, veterans, reserves and National Guard that dine in-restaurant get a complimentary full-size entrée from a special menu. They will also receive a $5 Bounce Back Card to redeem for dine-in, To Go, or delivery within a three-week redemption window.
  • Buffalo Wild Wings 
    • Veterans and active-duty service members get a free order of 10 Boneless Wings and Fries on November 11 with valid ID. Only available for dine-in. Buffalo Wild Wings GO locations will be included for walk-in/order at the counter only. 
  • Chili's 
    • Veterans and active-duty service members get a free meal from a select menu on November 11 with proof of service. Available for in-restaurant only.
  • Dunkin' 
    • Veterans and active-duty military get a free donut of their choice on November 11 at participating locations. Offer available in-store only.
  • Red Lobster
    • Veterans, active-duty military and reservists get free printed meal vouchers for Veterans Shrimp & Chips from 11:00am to 4:00pm local time on November 11. Guests need to show a valid military ID or proof of service. The voucher can be redeemed beginning November 13 through December 10 for dine-in only.
  • Smoothie King
    • Active-duty military and veterans get a free smoothie from one of three red, white, and blue smoothies at participating locations on November 11 with a valid ID.
  • Starbucks 
    • Starbucks is honoring those who have served with a free tall (12-ounce) hot or cold brewed coffee for veterans, military service members and military spouses who visit participating U.S. stores on November 11.
