City of Odessa announces free bulk drop-off event

ODESSA, Texas — The City of Odessa posted on their Facebook page that on Saturday, May 4, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., Buice Elementary in Odessa, located at 1800 E 87th Street will host a free bulk drop-off event. 

The event will take place in the main parking lot. 

Residents are encouraged to bring various items for disposal, including bulk items such as furniture, appliances, water heaters, hot tubs, above-ground pools, exercise equipment, and trampolines. 

Additionally, outdoor equipment (fuel, oil, and batteries removed) can be dropped off, including string trimmers, mowers, leaf blowers, generators, edgers, tillers, BBQ pits, patio furniture, home office electronics, microwaves, cables and wires, televisions, crock pots, and space heaters. 

Construction demolition/debris, paint, chemicals, tires, and tree limbs will not be accepted. 

Refrigerators, compressors, and freezers will only be accepted if the freon is removed.
