FORT STOCKTON, Texas — On Saturday afternoon, a car collided with a parked Fort Stockton ISD bus that was on the shoulder of the I-20 service road, according to Fort Stockton ISD. Nobody was injured in the crash, according to a Facebook post.

On Saturday evening, Fort Stockton ISD released the following statement:

"This afternoon, a Fort Stockton ISD activity bus transporting High School Color Guard members to a competition in Big Spring, experienced a mechanical breakdown. Midland ISD generously assisted by providing a replacement bus, allowing our Color Guard to continue their journey to the event.

An unfortunate incident occurred while our bus was safely parked off the shoulder of the Interstate 20 service road. A car, detached from a trailer, veered off the road and collided with our parked bus. Thankfully, our bus and vehicle were unoccupied at the time of the accident, and no students or staff were involved or injured.

Thanks to the swift response and support of Midland ISD, our students reached their destination safely before the accident and participated in the competition as planned. We are grateful that this incident did not cause any harm to our students, staff or anyone else, and we appreciate the cooperation and assistance provided by Midland ISD." - Fort Stockton ISD
