BIG SPRING, Texas — The Big Spring Police Department say they found a deceased male Tuesday morning at the Howard County Fair Grounds property located in the 2900 block of Old Hwy 80.
This is what police have told NewsWest 9.
At approximately 8:45 a.m., BSPD officers were sent to the Howard County Fair Grounds property due to a deceased male.
When officers arrived, they found a group of dogs run from the area where the male subject was found.
A preliminary investigation has not revealed the cause of death yet, but the deceased male has evidence of animal predation.
BSPD tells NewsWest 9 that an autopsy has been ordered by the Justice of the Peace and is scheduled for Dec. 21.
Next of kin has been notified and Big Spring Animal Control has taken measures to identify, locate and seize two of the dogs involved in this incident.
