BIG SPRING, TX (KWES) - One West Texas high school will soon be looking for a new principal.
Mike Ritchey announced Friday that he will be retiring this year.
Except for a one year stint in Robert Lee, Ritchey has spent all of his career with the Big Spring Independent School District.
He started as a teacher and coach at the high school, moved up to assistant principal then principal.
The district says Ritchey plans to stay on the job through the rest of school year.
