MIDLAND, Texas — The City of Midland Parks and Recreation have announced that there will be a delay for the opening of the Washington Aquatic Center due to a 6-inch pipe bursting and flooding the pump room on Saturday, May 25.
The staff managed to catch it in time to prevent significant damage.
Repairs are expected to be made as quickly as possible, but due to Memorial Day weekend, a timeline is not available yet.
As a reminder for the public, Doug Russell and Dennis the Menace Splash Pad are still opening today.
