MIDLAND, Texas — On Sunday, April 14, at 6:42 p.m., the Midland Police Department received a call from an apartment complex located in the 6000 block of Briarwood Avenue in northwest Midland about a 4-year-old boy that had drowned in the complex’s pool, according to a press release from the City of Midland.
MPD reported that the child was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital but passed away.
The press release also stated that MPD said a “Crimes Against Persons Unit detective was informed and promptly arrived at the scene to initiate the investigation” and that “no evidence of foul play has been found at this time.”
MPD stated that the investigation is ongoing until an autopsy report is available.
