35-year-old man sentenced to 10 years in prison for trafficking meth and fentanyl

ALPINE, Texas — A man was sentenced to 10 years in prison in Alpine for possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and methamphetamine, according to the Western District of Texas court.

According to court documents, 35-year-old Marcos Kenedy Ledezma Campos attempted to enter the Presidio Port of Entry during inspection. During the inspection, agents reportedly extracted 69 bundles from the gas tank of his vehicle.

After further analysis, the bundles contained approximately 2.4 kilograms of fentanyl pills and 33.8 kilograms of methamphetamine.

Ledezma Campos was taken into custody and pleaded guilty to the charge on Jan. 24.
