MCH to open free diabetes clinic thanks to $500,000 received from the City of Odessa

The clinic is for low-income or uninsured diabetes patients. It will have varied hours and days to accommodate patients' schedules.

ODESSA, Texas — Medical Center Health System is getting a substantial amount of money from the City of Odessa.

Odessa City Council voted on Tuesday to award MCH with $500,000 from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds the city received. That vote was unanimously in favor of MCH.

The money will be used to open a free diabetes clinic at the former MCH Urgent Care located at 1940 E. 42nd St.

The clinic will have varied hours and days to accommodate patients' schedules. The clinic is for low-income or uninsured diabetes patients, 18 years or older. The clinic will have appropriate treatment and medication along with necessary tests and exams for all patients.
