Six teens arrested for several alleged car burglaries in Odessa

All six teens were charged with engaging in organized criminal activity, theft of property, two counts of burglary of a vehicle and attempted burglary of a vehicle.

ODESSA, Texas — Six teenagers were arrested in Odessa for multiple alleged burglary charges, according to an investigation by the Odessa Police Department.

According to a media release, on Wednesday at approximately 4:48 a.m., OPD was called to the 3900 block of Richmond St. because of several alleged auto burglaries.

Once OPD finished an investigation into the incident, it revealed that several teenagers had allegedly burglarized vehicles and stole a vehicle. After allegedly committing the crimes, they fled on foot.

One of the victims of the alleged car burglaries provided surveillance footage of the six teenagers allegedly involved in the incident.

OPD officers were able to locate the six teenagers and arrest them. The six teenagers are 17-year-old Daniel Nehr, a 16-year-old male, three 15-year-old males and a 14-year-old male. According to OPD, all teenagers were from Midland.

OPD says all six subjects were charged with engaging in organized criminal activity, theft of property, two counts of burglary of a vehicle and attempted burglary of a vehicle. Four out of the six subjects were additionally charged with criminal trespass.

Nehr was transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center and the other five teenagers were transported to the Youth Center.
