UPTON COUNTY, Texas — An inmate is back in Lubbock County custody after escaping an Upton County jailer transporting him from court to Lubbock Thursday, according to the Upton County Sheriff's Office.
According to a Facebook post from the sheriff's office, inmate Benjamin Soliz stole the transport vehicle and escaped custody.
After a multiagency manhunt was conducted, law enforcement found Soliz.
Soliz is back in Lubbock County custody.
According to UCSO, no injuries were reported.
Additional charges have been filed on Soliz, according to the post.
