Fort Stockton Police say one person has died from a gunshot wound Wednesday evening

Fort Stockton Police, Pecos County Sheriff's Office, Texas DPS and the Texas Rangers responded to a call Wednesday evening regarding gunshots.

FORT STOCKTON, Texas — Fort Stockton Police say a man who was shot Wednesday evening succumbed to his injuries at Pecos County Memorial Hospital.

Fort Stockton PD, Pecos County Sheriff's Office, Texas DPS and the Texas Rangers all responded to a call at 6:07 p.m. on Nov. 8 in reference to gunshots around the 400 block of West Division St.

When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound and he was then transported to Pecos County Memorial Hospital. The man would later die at the hospital.

Fort Stockton Police say a suspect has been taken into custody.

Local police are still investigating the case and we will update this story once more information is provided.
