He grew up southeast of San Antonio in La Vernia, Texas.

Tyler graduated from Texas A&M in May of 2022 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunication Media Studies with Magna Cum Laude honors. While an Aggie, he wrote for the university’s student-run newspaper — The Battalion — as a sports reporter.

While living in Bryan-College Station, Tyler hosted his own podcast with his twin brother called the "Double Dup Sports Podcast."

Tyler enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active, bettering his golf game, playing fantasy sports and watching the Houston Rockets and Miami Dolphins.

Tyler is excited about the opportunity to live and work in West Texas, covering the news and experiencing everything the Permian Basin has to offer.

His passion for journalism comes from helping inform communities on important information that impacts their lives, and giving those a voice who have a story to tell.
