ECTOR COUNTY, Texas — A teenager has died at Medical Center Hospital (MCH) after being shot at a large party in Ector County, according to the Ector County Sheriff's Office (ECSO).
ECSO responded to a shots fired call in the 6700 block of Kaylee at 1:18 a.m. Monday morning.
When deputies arrived, they learned that someone suffered a "gunshot wound."
That person was taken to MCH in a private vehicle, where they later died.
According to Ector County Sheriff Mike Griffis, the person has been identified as 18-year-old Edgar Rubio. Next of kin has been notified.
No suspects have been named at this time; ECSO is asking for the public's help on any information to aid in the ongoing homicide investigation.
ECSO said it is advised for anyone who was present at the party to reach out to them.
