ECTOR COUNTY - Preliminary autopsy results in the case of an Odessa murder show 20-year-old Ray Valdez died from a gunshot wound to the chest, delivered by a small caliber pistol.

Investigators say Valdez was shot in the arm Thursday morning, but the bullet continued through his chest.

The shooting happened at a house in the 7200 block of Hughes in North Ector County.

So far no arrests have been made.
