HOUSTON (AP) - A University of Houston Downtown police officer was struck by a bullet while sitting in a restaurant after someone fired multiple rounds near there -- possibly while driving on a freeway. That's what Houston police said Sunday.

The officer, who was taken to a local hospital in stable condition, was struck while he was eating at the restaurant early Sunday morning.

Houston Police are asking for help in identifying a suspect wanted in the attempted capital murder of a police officer. The suspect is believed to have been traveling in a silver or gray four-door 1993-1994 Isuzu Rodeo with tinted windows.
