MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - The Jubilee Center of Midland held its second annual BBQ Cook Off on the afternoon of May 19.
The event featured ten cooking teams who competed in several best recipe competitions such as best steak, best ribs, best brisket, and more.
The competition's judges were given a scorecard and directed to give a numeric score between 1-10 for each submission's overall taste.
Each team paid a 150$ entry fee with the hopes of winning a trophy and sanctioned points toward the International BBQ Cookers Association.
The proceeds of the event stayed with the Jubilee Center of Midland, which officials say will go towards their operating costs of feeding less fortunate families in the Permian Basin.
