PECOS, TX (KWES) - A Venezuelan National and former elementary school teacher in Fort Stockton pleaded guilty Thursday afternoon to child pornography charges in federal court.
Back on August 19, 2015 Homeland Security Investigations searched Javier Franco's house and seized his laptop. A forensic analysis found child pornography that had been downloaded from the internet to the computer.
Franco pleaded guilty in Pecos to one count of receipt of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography. By pleading guilty he admits that from December 2014 to August 2015 he used a file-sharing program to download to his personal computer videos and images of minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct.
Franco faces between five and 30 years in prison, but a sentencing date has not been scheduled yet.
