MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - Monday marked the kick-off of the annual TxDOT "Click it or Ticket" campaign.
The campaign launched Monday for West Texas with an event hosted at the Permian Basin Petroleum Museum with speakers including Midland Police Chief Price Robinson and TxDOT District Engineer Mike McAnally.
The campaign is a simple reminder to drivers and passengers that not only is wearing a seat belt while out on the road a good idea, it's also the law.
In Texas, the law requires everyone in a vehicle to buckle up or face fines and court costs.
